The African proverb “it takes a village to raise a child” is central to the Immanuel Early Learning Centre (IELC) community. Children need a safe and healthy environment in order to grow and flourish. Community provides children support, a sense of belonging and a sense of connection. By engaging in a community, children will feel emotionally and physically safe, and valued. Through the connectedness of our Early Learning Centre, children will be supported to develop social abilities and grow in their sense of sharing and caring for each other. The children of IELC are provided many opportunities to interact with their own community including the Immanuel Lutheran College community and the Immanuel Gardens Residential Home.
